Greed
Greed slithers, silent and insatiable.
Its eyes, like polished coins, glint with hunger,
Counting fortunes yet to be amassed.
It craves more than the sun's golden rays,
More than the moon's silver whispers.
Its appetite knows no bounds,
Devouring hearts, leaving barren lands.
Greed wears a cloak of false abundance,
Promising riches but delivering emptiness.
It hoards treasures, stacking them high,
Yet its soul remains a beggar, forever wanting.
Beware the allure of its gilded promises,
For in the pursuit of excess, we lose our essence.
Let compassion be our currency,
And generosity our legacy.
For true wealth lies not in what we amass,
But in the kindness, we scatter like seeds,
Blooming into gardens of empathy,
Where greed withers, defeated by love.
Ahoi human beings!
