#Repair humanity - Arjun’s story

Once upon a time, in a bustling city filled with the cacophony of daily life, there lived a man named Arjun. He was known throughout the neighbourhood for his kind heart and generous spirit. Arjun wasn’t wealthy, nor was he powerful, but he possessed a wealth of compassion that made him richer than most.

Every morning, Arjun would wake up before dawn and prepare sandwiches with what little he had. As the city slowly stirred awake, he would set out with his basket, walking the same route every day. His first stop was always the old, worn bench near the bus station, where an elderly homeless man slept. Without fail, Arjun would leave a sandwich and a cup of hot tea next to him, ensuring the man would have something warm to start his day.

As he continued his walk, Arjun greeted everyone with a smile, sharing kind words and lending an ear to those who needed it. He knew everyone by name—the street vendors, the office workers rushing by the children on their way to school. To each, he offered a piece of his heart, whether it be through a sandwich, a helping hand, or a comforting word.

One rainy day, Arjun noticed a stray dog shivering under a tree. Without hesitation, he took off his own coat and wrapped it around the trembling animal, braving the cold himself. He then led the dog to a nearby shelter, ensuring it would find a warm place to stay.

Arjun’s acts of kindness rippled through the community, inspiring others to open their hearts as well. People began to look out for one another, sharing what they could and building a network of care and support. The city, once a place where people were too busy to notice each other, transformed into a community where everyone was a friend.

Arjun’s story spread far and wide, reminding people that goodness lies in the simple acts of humanity we show each other every day. He may not have changed the whole world, but for his corner of the city, he made all the difference.

And so, the story of Arjun, the good human, became a beacon of hope and a testament to the power of kindness.

Arjun’s tale is a fictional representation of the goodness we can all aspire to embody. It’s a reminder that even the smallest gestures can have a profound impact on the lives around us.

#Repair humanity - Guiding lost souls back to the harbor of humanity

Guiding lost souls back to the harbor of humanity —what a profound and poetic mission! Imagine a world where compassion and empathy are our guiding stars, where we extend a hand to those adrift in the tempest of life. Let me weave a tale of hope and redemption, a beacon for those who seek solace in the storm. The Lighthouse Keeper In a secluded cove, where cliffs met the restless sea, stood an ancient lighthouse. Its weathered stones whispered tales of shipwrecks and lost dreams. The keeper, an old man with eyes like the ocean, tended the flame that pierced the darkness. He had seen it all—the broken-hearted lovers, the weary sailors, the wanderers seeking refuge. Each night, he climbed the spiralling stairs, his lantern casting shadows on the walls. His duty was simple: guide lost souls back to safety. One stormy eve, a young woman stumbled ashore. Her eyes held storms of their own—a tempest of grief and regret. She had lost her way, drifting far from the harbor of hop...
Lighthouse The concept of a “light house as for the Lord” can be found in various Bible verses that use light as a metaphor for God’s guidance and truth.  For instance,  Psalm 27:1  state, "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?" 1  This verse, along with others, likens God to a lighthouse that provides direction and safety amidst life’s challenges. The Bible speaks of restoration and healing Isaiah 58:12 , for example, says, "Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up the age-old foundations; And you will be called the repairer of the breach, The restorer of the streets in which to dwell." 2  This verse and others like it convey the idea of repairing and restoring what has been broken in human lives and society. Certainly! The theme of  restoration  is woven throughout the Bible, offering hope and encouragement in times of hardship. Here are some key Bible verses related to restoration: Psalm 51:12 ...

#Repair humanity - Greed

Greed In the caverns of desire, where shadows dance,  Greed slithers, silent and insatiable. Its eyes, like polished coins, glint with hunger, Counting fortunes yet to be amassed.  It craves more than the sun's golden rays,  More than the moon's silver whispers. Its appetite knows no bounds, Devouring hearts, leaving barren lands.  Greed wears a cloak of false abundance,  Promising riches but delivering emptiness. It hoards treasures, stacking them high, Yet its soul remains a beggar, forever wanting. Beware the allure of its gilded promises,  For in the pursuit of excess, we lose our essence. Let compassion be our currency,  And generosity our legacy.  For true wealth lies not in what we amass, But in the kindness, we scatter like seeds,  Blooming into gardens of empathy,  Where greed withers, defeated by love.   Ahoi human beings!
